Have followed the extremely poor instructions on how to delete Loom and Atlassian account but I cannot delete. Does anyone have a true way to get rid of your account?

If you haven't been able to complete the deletion, I would open a ticket to the Loom support, who should be able to help https://www.loom.com/login?redirect_after=%2Flooms%2Fvideos%3FcontactSupport%3Dtrue
