I just wanted to comment on a LOOM video that I was sent to under a beta test for a company... I had to create an account in order to do that... now I am being HOUNDED for payments??? I NEED to cancel the account I created ASAP. I am NOT paying for ANYTHING.
Hey @Liz Feitelberg ,
You can use this channel Atlassian Support: Pricing, Billing & Licensing, to request cancellation (in case payment has already been requested).
I believe you can use Your Account > Cancel cloud subscription form. Once you select that, click on Need more help? at the bottom right part of the 'form.' You can use an AI chatbot or click on Submit a support request at the bottom to create a ticket regarding your account. The billing team should be able to assist you.
Here are also a couple of articles that might be helpful (although these steps probably won't work in case invoice has already been generated):
Cheers,
Tobi
Do you realize that’s like 57 steps just to cancel an account because I wanted to put a like or a thumbs up on a LOOM video? This is beyond ridiculous. I’ve tried to get out of that account now and all I get is a seven separate pages and tabs on my browser with like 87 more pages of nothing but text… If I get a bill from them, it’s not going to be good because theyve already sent me five emails asking for money - absolutely ridiculous… and pretty damn shady business practice if you ask me

@Liz Feitelberg I can agree that actually requesting assistance might be way too complicated. With everyone pushing those self-help and AI answers, it's sometimes too tricky to actually raise an actual ticket 😕
As for this giving thumbs up to a video, yeah... System probably forwarded you to create an account, which then probably created a workspace and started a trial or something 👀
I know other Atlassian apps do have that free trial feature which, if you even start it, it will automatically downgrade if you don't have a payment connected.
Anyway... if this is something fresh, can you check if you can navigate to admin.atlassian.com/billing and under Subscriptions > Manage see if you can deactivate Loom directly? 🤔
