Can Loom have AI voice read back recorded transcript for recordings?
Any plans to add this feature?
Any 3rd party add on's, tools or workarounds currently available?
So you record your Loom as normal (including transcript). AI cleans it up (as it does now with basic ums and oh's but better in future?) and reads it back in a smoother "broadcast quality voice" when playing the recording.
Also, what about just typing new text into the transcript to for example add something you forgot during recording (ie a net new paragraph or few sentences)?
To go one step further, what about just loading the entire transcript as a text/Word file etc. and having the AI voice read all back?
Thanks
Thank you for the great suggestions and ideas, @Gregg Switzer! Loom product manager here. Our existing 'text to speech' feature does some but not all of what you're asking for, so would love to hear more about what you'd like to see.
In particular, can you say more about what you're hoping to get from the AI voiceover? Do you want a voice that sounds more professional in some way and if so what does that mean to you? Is that in terms of the word choice, or the literal sound of the voice, or both? Would you want / expect the video to also update to match the new words?
Also curious how often you find yourself wanted to add in a few words that were missing. We are currently building the ability to add a loom in the middle of another loom to address that kind of thing, but would you prefer to just type in the replacement vs. recording another loom to insert?
Thanks again for the great suggestions, looking forward to your thoughts
Hi @Gregg Switzer ,
Great Suggestions. Would be great to change the AI tone as well and communicate via voice like with Google, Siri, and Alexa, etc.
I don't see any of those items in the roadmap. Here's the current roadmap shared by Atlassian:
