I'm using the free version of Jira Service Desk. I have 2 projects, Service Desk and Software. I was working in the Service Desk and had made changes to the Queues, etc. Suddenly, I'm looking at the same interface as the Software project has - with the Issues on the left side that open to the right when clicked.
ETA: I think it's just a "Service" project, not Service Desk (unless those are the same thing?)
I have no idea what happened or how to return it to the queues.
Looking at the navigation pane, I now have only "Issues and Filters" and "Asset Search" (for Snipe-IT asset management integration). Effectively nothing else when there were over a dozen items there earlier today (though I can't recall what they were).
If I open Project Settings, Details pane shows "Something's gone wrong" with a refresh button that has no effect.
Trying to access the Project in Jira Mobile app gets the error "Permission required Contact your admin for permission to view this project." But of course I am the admin. Strangely, the Atlassian user admin page shows last active Jun 4, 2024, but I have been very active all day today.
Any ideas what happened to this project and how I can get it back to the way it was?
ETA2: More info: When trying to add a comment to a Service request, it now has only "Internal note" and is missing "Reply to customer". It's like half the functionality of the project has disappeared.
ETA3: If I go to "Your Work", it shows the Projects at the top and under the Service project it says "Failed to retrieve project data". Feels like something is completely broken here. Is there any way to have a Jira tech look at it on the free plan or is it "Free, but you're 1000% on your own even if there are server-side issues"?
The project is working normally again.
In case anyone else encounters the issues I describe: It turns out that the Free plan was converted to a Standard plan, but with no payment, it semi-locked access. I messaged the billing team. I haven't gotten a response as yet, but this morning, the project access was back and operating normally.
