why does a customer group pull through when creating JIRA cases

Warwick De Villiers
November 28, 2023

We have setup a new JIRA project for a separate division of a customer. Customer end user has his email linked under the general project (Project A, Organisation name A) under a customer group and we have also sent him and invite to be a customer of Project B, organisation name B. On project B, Org B we only have limited number of invited end users.

When he creates a ticket in Project B, Organisation B and saves the case, the entire customer group and all users form Project A, Organisation A are pulled across and linked under Project B and named Organisation A.

We do not want to share any of these cases with Organisation A.

Would the customer end user email being linked to both projects and organisations cause this. How can we stop this automation. We only want to share tickets created on Project B, Org B with customers who have been setup under Project B, Org B.
