when setting up email channel in Jira Service Desk

Hello Team,

Am setting up a email channel in Jira Service Desk and getting below error. Any ideas what how to get around this?

"Unfortunately JIRA couldn't connect to the mail server. Here is what the mail server said: "Connection reset" Check out our docs for help to resolve the issue."

I have followed through with all the suggestions. We are using exchange 2013.

Hi...

Can you make sure that mail server and jira server is connect ? You can using ping command. And check firewall configuration on both server and firewall or router or firewall on your network.

better ask company IT what is required to connect to mail server.
