unable to upgrade jira service desk

Hi, 

I am trying to upgrade my current version 3.16.8 to 4.0 or higher, but I failed to run the Jira services after upgrade while directly installing .obr file or installing upgrade version .exe file on the server. 

After installing atlassian-servicedesk-4.0.0-x64 or higher Jira services don't even appear in windows services manager. 

Could you please suggest me the right steps to upgrade the current version. Please let me know if you would like to see my current log files.

Hi Bhupinder,

I understand you're working on upgrading Jira Service Desk on Windows. Using the installer is the easiest way forward. I'd recommend going to 4.4.1 or above as we published a security advisory earlier this week. 4.4.1 is the latest release available for download currently and will be the default option today when downloading from https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/service-desk/download.

While using the .exe installer, it should give you the option to install Jira as a service. If for some reason you don't see the Service after going through the installer, we do have instructions available for manually installing the Service in Windows.

If you run into trouble with the latest version of the installer and can't get the Service running, let me know!
