If I transfer a ticket from project A to project B do I lose any data?

i answered the removed duplicate post with the following...

if you have a custom field in Proj A and you move the issue to Proj B that does not make use of that same custom field, yes it obviously will be gone. Options, add the custom fields from A that you are interested in keeping to B before moving or add it to a comment before moving.
