I want to create a service management project so I can create customer request forms, but I want to keep the project hidden from the Help Desk site and they seem to automatically pop up there when they are created.  How can I hide a service management project from the Help Desk site until I'm ready to "go live"?

Just change your service desk so it is only available to customers that you have given permission to see it.  If you set it up this way and do not add any customers then no one will see the requests or the service desk in the portal.

Hey Dave,

 

Maybe someone has an answer to hide the portal, but if you're ok with just hiding the request types themselves, you can remove them from Portal Groups and then they'll be hidden from the support page itself. Or delete portal groups entirely for the time being.

 

Then just add them back in later. This is what they'll see:
