share rule

Patrik Lisy June 5, 2020

Hi,

I create share rule, where I want to set share the issue with specific user.

When I create issue and conditions are ok I don't see this issue on portal marked as share with that specific person. Just creator.

But in backend in the project is share with marked with that specific person.

Also when I try open this issue on portal under that share with ID, gives me this message, that I have no permissions to see.

Any idea how to set this?

Thanks Patrik

Hello Patrik,

Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

Checking the screenshots, I was able to identify that the field that you are using is a custom field that doesn't have the functionality to share the ticket with someone.

In the customer portal, the field "Share with" is an alias for the fields Request participants and Organizations. This field doesn't exist internally, it's just shown in the customer view for them to know who can access the ticket and receive notifications.

With that said, you must change the "Then: Edit issue fields" to edit the Request participants (if are few people) or Organizations (group of customers).

Please, give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Regards,
Angélica

Hello Angelica,

yes, you have right. That field was my custom.

I just try use in rule and option Then that alias and looks it's working.

When I create a issue, share person is there. :)

Thanks a lot for your help.
