"Send Microsoft Teams message" not available as action

Ingo Dettmar

We are using the Cloud version of Jira and I read this article:

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/use-automation-with-microsoft-teams/

But I do not see this action in the list when I add a new Automation rule. What will enable this option? Do I need an additional subscription?

Hi @Ingo Dettmar , welcome to the Community. I just did a quick check and I certainly see the action (see below). Be sure you are using “Project Automation” and not “Automation”. Yes it is confusing, it is an artifact of Attlassian’s purchase of Codebarrel the developer of automation for Jira after having there own built in Automation.

OK, I tried Project Settings -> Automation. But it is under Jira Settings -> Automation Rules.

Thanks, it works nicely!
