possible to calculate datetime format field with a numeric field?

Andreas Götz February 19, 2019

Hello guys,

I Need some help, I am using the Cloud Version of JIRA Service Desk.
I have a numeric field where the effort of a ticket is already calclated in a number Format +
I have the approval date.
What I Need is a datetime field that calculates the datetime when the Work shall be finished.
Example: Approval Datetime is "19/Feb/19 11:39 AM"
I want to add the calculated effort in hours e.g. "36" that reflects the hours of effort needed to calculate on top of the datetime field above.
As result I would like to get the Format like in the Approval Datetime.

How can I do this, it is quite urgent, thanks for help.

Abacus had date + duration formula type where you can add a duration to date or date time field to produce another date. The duration can in minutes, hours, days or weeks designated by m, h, d or w after the number. For example 3d 4h.

there isn't anyway to do this OOTB. You might look at an addon like Scriptrunner or Power Scripts to see if it would meet your need.

Thanks Jack,

I have already downloaded the abacus addon for calculating fields, actually it is hard to find a solution to calculate fileds in different Formats.

I'm not familiar with that addon. If you do work out a solution for this please share here for others.
