Good afternoon. I've encountered a problem. I can open an mp3 file through the portal (Jira Service Managment) in the Firefox browser, but not through Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge (it opens but does not play).

I tested with 3 pcs. 2 in my company and 1 personal.

PS. if I launch .mp3 from a issue through any browser it opens normally.

Hi @Petru Negrusa ,

I think there might be a compatibility issue specific to how Jira Service Management handles MP3 files in different browsers.

Here are some basics troubleshooting steps you can consider:

  1. Clear Cache and Cookies: Clear cache and cookies in Chrome and Edge. Sometimes, cached data can cause issues with file playback.
  2. Extensions/Add-ons: Check for browser extensions that might be interfering with file playback. Disable them temporarily and test if the MP3 file plays.
  3. Media Settings: Ensure that the media settings in Chrome and Edge allow for the playback of MP3 files from external sources. These settings might sometimes block audio/video playback from certain websites.
  4. Update Browser: Ensure that both Chrome and Edge are updated to their latest versions. Outdated browser versions might have compatibility issues with certain file types.
  5. File Variance: Test with different MP3 files to determine if the issue is specific to a particular MP3 file or if it's a general problem with MP3 playback.

By testing these steps and adjusting browser settings, you might be able to identify the specific issue causing the discrepancy.

Also, if you feel my input help you please accept the answer.

Regards,
Bhushan
