I upgraded the jira software from 7.x to 7.12 on our server, we use the servicedesk and the wiki software
after the upgrade the wiki still works but is not upgraded, but if i look into the licensing it says that the Jira Software 7.12.1 runs without licence
i entered the license key from our licensing portal but this is not accepted
what to do next ?
Are you talking about Confluence when saying wiki? You need to upgrade Confluence separately. Upgrading your jira does not upgrade your Confluence. ;)
What exactly does Jira say when you insert the license?
Do you enter a Jira Software License or a Jira Service Desk License?
Cheers
Niklas
thanks for the quick reply. I am little confused about what name is used for what function. Indeed confluence is used for our wiki, but we call it just our wiki pages :-)
This is my first upgrade of the software and was confused with the licensing. I upgraded the confluence server and everything works as it should so i guess the licensing is correct and i can ignore the messages
i am however still confused what the difference is for the jira software and the jira helpdesk, but we make only use of the helpdesk and confluence software

@Dylan van Rijnberk You are welcome. :)
I suggest you read this: The Difference Between JIRA Service Desk and JIRA Software/Core
Maybe this clears your confusion.
