export filter data into csv in JSM

Bhaskaruni Vinay Datta September 9, 2024

I have around 12 filters which I export once in a month to get the latest data and append to the existing spreadsheet at the end of every month. Now , I am trying to automate this export of filter data into CSV sheets . Currently , when I export the data using a script I get all the JIRA fields into the spread sheet . Instead, I am looking for a way where I get only the default set columns or the filter fields which is ideally the export CSV data(filter fields) option from the filter.

Is there a way where I can get only limited columns instead of all the JSM fields/columns to the CSV while automatically exporting ? Please suggest

Welcome to the community @Bhaskaruni Vinay Datta

Natively in Jira, you cannot choose which fields from a filter you can export. Alternativaly, the columns that you do not need to in your CSV, you can always delete the not needed columns. I would recommend using: JXL - Sheets Hierarchy Structure Sum-up Time in status Table app from the marketplace. It is a paid app though but it does support the feature of hiding the columns:
