editable custom field ID

Hi all,

just a short simple question

is it possible to edit the customfield_id on JIRA site. For example we have 2 business units with different APIs and some custom fields.

BU 1:

customfield_1

customfield_2

BU  2:

customfield_3

customfield_4

Is it possible to change the name or the id's to something that i want to name it like

BU 1:

customfieldBU1_1

customfieldBU1_2

Or is there something that we can do it in Cloud with "Sites".

Hi Dominic,

no, it is not possible to change the ID of the custom field.  But you can change the name very easily.
