assigned approver not getting notifications to email after he leaves a comment.

Hi,

I have created a request type which needs approval so that the work on it can continue. The problem that I am am facing is that the added aprover gets only the first notification on his email. when the request is generated for him to approve, if he comments asking for more info the reply back won't come as a notification to his email. This is due to the fact that notifications are turned of for him, looks like by default. I was wondering is there a way for the notifications to be turned on by default for an approver that has been assigned?

Ass highlighted on the picture, notifications are turned off by default. approver.JPG

Thank you,

Andrej

I would consider solving this via transition back to requestor. You could use Automation to transition to “waiting customer” upon comment from approver. When the customer comments back it moves back to approver. This ensures accurate ownership is reflected on the issue rather than relying on comments.
