Why does the customer portal display differently on laptop screen vs PC monitors

Hello,

As we go around training end users on our JSM-based customer portal we often find ourselves having to play around with browser magnification settings as the portal will appear out of alignment otherwise. If we demo it on a laptop screen with no external monitors attached it appears different than it does when viewing it on the full sized monitors.  Is there any way to have it properly adjust based on device/browser?

@Mark Stein are you using any apps like refined? What browsers are you using? The portal should look and function well regardless of the device.  I have seen it not function as intended when apps like refined and the user has implemented customizations that are specific to that app.  You can also share screenshots as that is helpful.

Hi Brant!  You nailed it...we do use refined for our portal...i may experiment with that a bit to see if that is the source of the problem.  Many thanks for the quick reply/info!!

@Mark Stein glad to hear you have pin pointed the issue.  My experience with refined is that you will have to reach out to the company to get little bugs like this fixed.  They are usually pretty responsive.
