Does the Azure data import seriously not pull in serial number for Intune devices? How is that possible? How could the unique ID for all devices not be part of the default functionality.

For anyone that comes to this question later, there are two device-focused objects that pull in as part of the Azure integration under the InTune object.

  • Device - this pulls in all devices that appear in Azure and for some reason doesn't pull in a serial number
  • Managed Devices - this pulls only devices that are managed in Intune and does include a serial number.

So if you're looking to pull Intune data, focus on the Managed Devices object and you can generally ignore the Device object.
