Which alias address was used to send the email to JSD?

Dominik Appel June 10, 2020

Hi Community!

Like many others, I use one connected email address with many Aliases behind. Now,  I would like to know to which of these addresses the mail was sent. With this information, I want to make a pre-selection of the incoming mails with automation.

Unfortunately, I didn't find any JQL commands to get this email address. If I send a mail with my connected Jira user address to one of these Aliases, the author is my user and the email address is pushed automatically to the request participant field.

Some ideas?

Best regards

Hello @Dominik Appel I don't think you will be able to figure that out from Jira. What I have seen in the past is that at the email server level the different aliases emails are moved to different folders and then you build incoming mails services to fetch the data from each folder into Jira as a separate thing but I'm not sure if this is useful in your case
