I know my post is flagged as Cloud, but this concerns Data Center, and I can't change that flag.
I'm working with a JSD 5.4.11 Data Center environment that has Asset Schemas defined.
For one Asset Schema when I navigate to its Configuration screen and click on the Roles tab I get an error pop-up:
Error
Something went wrong. Contact administrator.
Looking through the logs I found this message in the application-jira.log
2024-10-08 23:50:38,743+0100 https-openssl-nio-443-exec-5 ERROR <username> 1430x163163x2 a24460 10.102.210.170 /rest/insight/1.0/config/role/2046 [c.r.j.p.i.c.w.a.r.exception.mapper.DefaultMapper] Unexpected exception was thrown while processing the request java.lang.NullPointerException
I'm preparing to migrate this server's content to JSM Cloud, so I'm not particularly concerned with diagnosing the problem on the server.
I would, however, like to get the information from the Roles tab for this schema.
Does anybody know where to find the information in the database? Or an API that will give me the information? I have not been able to find a db schema online that includes Assets, and the Assets APIs don't appear to provide the information about Roles.
I reported my error to Atlassian. They provided a link to this article.
Assets: Managing roles in Object Schema leads to error.
When I try to access it at this time I'm getting a 503 error with the Atlassian message "Something went wrong. We're moving mountains to get it sorted." Hopefully they will get it sorted soon so I can view the article.
