Whenever the “Assignee Groups” field is set/changed, everyone in that group gets an email.

Groups will not get email notification, but whenever Assignee Groups field assigned to any groups, the users should get notified about the ticket.

which is the better option or I need suggestions.

Hi @Arkadiusz Wroblewski while creating a work/issue type, we have a field to assign groups, so that in that groups the users will work on it, like (support groups, three members are there, if someone raise a ticket and mentioned support group in the assignee group field, users should get notified).  I need to do automation setup for this.  Hope u got it

It depends on the field type, yep, but the approach is generally the same.

  1. trigger on Field value changed
  2. check the Assignee Groups field
  3. then send a customized email / notification to that group

@Arkadiusz Wroblewski groups does have mail recipients.  As u said, will this rule trigger the users in the groups??
