What is the role by default that would be added when an user is added as a ‘Customer’

Jineesh V September 20, 2021
A customer added to a project should:
Be able to address others (@) within and outside the organisation they belong to.
Be able to view all the tickets in that project
Not be able to see other projects apart from what they are assigned to
Not be able to see the internal notes added by the service desk agent.

  • They cannot use the “@“ to mention others - JSDCLOUD-8026
  • But I thought they were only see the issues that they created. However this can be changed to allow them to opt in and see the issues others in their organization created if so configured.
  • they will not be able to see issues created in other projects unless they are customers in those projects.
  • they will not be able to see any internal notes

Customers aren’t assigned in traditional roles as licensed users are. Within a project they go into Service Desk Customers as you see under Project settings > people
