What if a ticket is submitted without an approver?

When a user forgets to add an approver we will add the approver after the ticket is submitted.  However the approver never gets an email and the approve button does not show up in the ticket.  I assume the process flow is broken.  How do I fix this?  Thanks

Hi @William Pettersson

There's two ways you can do this although this probably depends on how many approvers/groups you have.

You can add a post function to the transition to update custom field and then select approvers and set as required.

Another option would be an automation. An automation would give a bit more flexibility if you want to meet certain criteria to set a specific approver you can have multiple "ifs" in one automation rule.
