In an existing Jira Service Desl project we want to change the Project Lesd, which is the person who is the default assignee for issues, thus receiving all incoming emails from the users.

But, when we change the Project Lead in the Project Settings and save the modification we get an error message.

The new assignee has been given multiple roles in the project; administrator, developer, service desk team and users.
Still the email settings for incoming email are received by the previous Project Lead.

Help would be appreciated,

Sydney Damen

First the individual should not have all of those roles, at least concurrently. They should be part of Service Desk Team. Use the “invite” menu item in you project sidebar. Next go into the User management section of the system admin area and check the individuals access to JSD. Be sure it is checked. Try that and get back to me.
