Hello @Anand Govindasamy

Welcome to the Atlassian community!

The error you are facing when trying to save the widget typically happens because one of the following reasons:

  1. The Request type selected to the Widget is not available for some reason. Try to change the "Default request type" under the Widget settings for another one, and make sure the customers can create issues with that request type through portal or e-mail.
  2. There is a global setting to allow users to create requests without the need for them to log in.

Check out Change global customer permissions.  It explains in step #4 that you can choose if users do not need to be logged in order to send requests.  You will need to set this to a value of Yes before you can create a widget within the project settings.

If the suggestions above didn't work for you, can you please provide us with the error returned in the developer tools of your browser?

Let us know if you have any questions.

Hi @Petter Gonçalves

It seems like I am not authorized to access the link. I am attaching the screenshot from my browser developer tools for your reference.

  1. I tried with different Request types but I am encountering the same issue while saving the widget. I am able to create issues through the portal successfully.
  2. I have allowed anonymous users to create requests without the need for them to log in under global settings.
