Ticket Description Not Visible in Email

Since 28th Jan, 2026, Jira is showing "View Description" button in ticket notifications, instead of showing complete description like previouslyScreenshot 2026-01-29 145104.png

I can't seem to reproduce this.

What type of project is this related and is there "possible" a 3rd party mail app in play?

As this seems not to be the default ootb, that I'm used to

Thanks for responding. Earlier, whenever an issue was created, Jira sent an email with the issue summary in the subject and the full issue description in the email body.

Now, the email subject shows “Updates for <ticket number>”, and the email body only displays “View description” instead of the actual content.

There is no third-party app enabled. We’d like to confirm whether this is due to a recent Jira update or a change in our notification/email templates. We have to click on the issue now which leads to Jira to view the issue.

What type of project is this, team or company managed?

Is this a request made via a JSM portal or via the agent side and are you the reporter.

Can you check the customer notification, issue created or if this is not active, it is possible automation rule triggering this.

I have not seen any update on this in the release notes
