Hi,
We have a custom field in the request types that has three options and we mark one of them as Default according to the request type.
But, we don't know when, this Default selection is lost and we have to go to each Request type and enter it again.
We detect it when creating issues, no value is selected by default.

Can you also share the field context configuration?
If this configuration has been applied to a specific request type in the portal view, it will only work for that request type.
My suggestion, if feasible, is to configure the field context from the admin settings and set a default value so that it applies to all work items related to that space
Unfortunately, there is no way to know or receive a notification if the default option is lost.
I created an automation that sets the default value to issues that have a blank field.
