Site URL

FINE Client Support Team January 22, 2024

It looks like we have two variations in our site URL name; or more specifically, 2 URLs that load pages that are similar but not identical.

I noticed that when we update the message banner, it only updates for that specific URL. It's a bit confusing because when you click to submit a form on either, it takes you to the same place so we're not sure what the difference is and what clients have access to.

Hoping someone can give some insights into the site structuring and how we should go about updating message banners, where we should direct clients, etc. Are there other subpages we

Thanks!

Hi @FINE Client Support Team ,

The first link is to the help Center which is the top level url for your companies servicedesk. On that URL or rather webpage you will see a card for each Service desk project. If you only have one project you only see one card. Each card will be chronologically order and the subsequent URL Will illustrate that. So in your case "/1" is the first service desk project you have created. Should you create a second third or fourth then you will have similar url's, e.g. "/2"

@Jack Brickey thanks so much for this – does this mean clients would be viewing both the top level page and project page when they are logged in?

Sort of. The customer (client) can indeed hit the top level help center Page. However what they see depends on which projects for which they have access. For example, let's say you have five projects (A, B, C, D, E) and two customers (Fred and Edith). If Fred is a customer of all five projects but Edith is only a customer of project C, then Fred will see five cards one for each project on the help center page while Edith will only see one card for project C.
