Service Desk comment dates are not correct

When looking at an issue, the dates in the comments are in a strange format.

This is what I see:

[any user] added a comment - 54/20/2018 9:54 AM

If I edit the comment I see the comment was created 20/Sep/18.

How do I get the month to show correctly? Is there a way to always show all dates in a single MM/DD/YYYY format?

In look and feel I set it to MM/dd/yyyy h:mm a and that did the trick.
