Service Desk - Email Requests - custom email

Setting up a custom email address for email requests.  Throws back error 'JIRA could not connect to the mail server'.  How to go about it please.  Image attached.

Got it work with secure imap, smtp-mail.outlook.com & port 993

@[deleted] , first, as this is a public forum you may wish to redact the email and username. I use O365 and the last two parameters are: outlook.office365.com, 993 and it works fine. Did you Check-out the troubleshooting docs?

thanks Jack, much appreciated.  I tried the suggested parameters on POP & IMAP but both come up with a time-out error. I tried several times with the same result. I also tried smtp.outlook.com with port 587, doesn't like it.  Nothing in troubleshooting docs is specific to my error.
