See First Tasks on Cards using Painel on Jira Software Project

Jonas Coelho Santana October 22, 2024

So.. Imagine that I have a lot of cards each one representing a potential customer ( Lead or Prospect ) and those cards have a way passing throug status to become a customer.

For each status, sometimes I have to create some subtasks on my history ( until here, no problem ) BUT, every day on may daily I must enter on each card to see if there is a subtask pending or not. So, if it´s possible to include on my cardview the first 3 subtasks it will reduce half an hour every day to me

tks anyway

Hi @Jonas Coelho Santana!

Have you tried sorting the group by to Subtask?

As you can see in the upper part, if you don't have any grouping we can only see that there are child issues attached by the little icon.

But if we group by subtask we can now see a list of child issues belonging to the original issue, right on the board.

Hi @Jonas Coelho Santana,

As @Tobias H mentioned, you could try the Group by: Task capability of the agile board.

Another possibility would be to look for an app on Atlassian Marketplace that is able to display the data in a form that is more convenient for you.

If you consider the idea of using a plugin, our Great Gadgets app offers two dashboard gadgets that can be useful for your case.

Team Wallboard Gadget - displays the issues from a board and can group them by parent task, showing each card along with its sub-tasks on a swimlane

In this example, then main tasks are in green and the sub-tasks are in yellow - and they grouped in swim-lanes (by parent task). The colors can be customized.

Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) gadget - displays the issue from a filter in form of Epic > Story, Task > Sub-Tasks along with their status.

If you configure it with a filter that returns the cards and subtasks (Task > Sub-task), you will have a simple tree structure in which you will easily identify the subtasks of each card.
