SD sharing and notifications

Hi Community, seeking for your help or recommendations.

We are going to implement Jira SD for business customers "single window", where our internal customers can create all kinds of tickets: change requests, errors, service desk, etc.

We use a single Customer portal, with country-based categories, which is linked with separate SD projects.

The problems we faced with are about sharing and notifications:

  • We want to allow ALL users to have access to ALL tickets across the region
  • We don't want to send notifications to ALL users across the region, like ticket creation, new comments added, etc. We need notifications for specific people which this ticket belongs to. In regular Jira "Watchers" works perfectly. But once we share the ticket with all staff, notifications go to all as well, that's wrong.

In our previous ticket system, ticket permissions and notifications weren't dependent, but in Jira SD we can't find a way how to avoid it.
