Restricted access to agent

Paul Gautier April 28, 2020

Hi,

I would like to give different access to my agent. I have two groups of agent.

I created an Security Issue Scheme and in this scheme i created two levels of security with my two groups. But I don't know what are the next step to say : "First group has access to this issue type and the other group to others issue type".

Can you help me ?

Thank you

Hi,

If the difference for your two groups is the issue type, i recommend using automation to set the issue security after "Create" step, or in post function of Create transition.

Is the workflow the same for the issuetypes?

Thank you for the answer.

No, there are different workflow. So, what's the best solution ? If I use post function, what are the step ?

Thank you very much

You need to be sure the Issue Security Fiel is present in your screen, at least in Create and Edit Screen.

You can use Resolution 1 and 3 from this doc:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-set-the-security-level-of-an-issue-based-on-group-membership-726565612.html

The second one is for Script Runner, but no needed to used it.

The easier: automation, because a project manager can change it if needed.

Let me know if works for you.

And im still here for any question... :)
