Resolve a group of tickets closes

Hi

we had a problème in our workflow, and lots of us tickets are close but not resolved.

and I don't find how resolved all the close tickets in one time. can you help me ?

Hi @William Rogazy

If the ticket was already closed but no Resolution was set you need to create a workaround to fix this.(without having to open the ticket again and resolve it manually one by one)

For me this was the following:

  1. Adjust the workflow property to allow issue editing by a specific admin group or user
  2. Add a workflow transition from Closed -> Closed (i named this Resolution Correction)
  3. On this resolution add the transition screen that contains your resolution (normally something like "Resolve transition screen"

(you'll need to do this for each issuetype that has this problem)

Once this is set up you can either manually change each ticket OR (and you'll like this better), you can do an issue search where the JQL basically is

project = xxx and status = Closed and resolution is empty

Then you can use the "bulk edit" to do a bulk transition and the system will request you to add a value on the resolution due to the resolution screen.

This is written out pretty high level so if you need more detailed information with some screenshots let me know :)
