Reporting on Jira SD tickets

I am trying to pull a report on the year's ticket activity to an excel spreadsheet. It appears that I can only get a format that will allow for links for the ticket totals for each month that dont transfer to excel (except for totals) Is anyone able to pull bulk raw data?

Your question is a bit confusing.

if you want to export all issues created since the beginning of the year use this JQL...

createddate >= startofyear()

then use the esport function to push to CSV

Sorry about the confusion (coffee hasn't quite kicked in yet). I used your JQL which will provide all the tickets in the year...but when downloaded to CSV i just get the totals per month and not the actual ticket information so I can filter out unwanted data from the report.

That really makes no sense. What you should get is a row for every issue including either the fields displayed based on query or all fields depending on the e port option you chose.

Are you on cloud or server? Can you provide a screenshot of you query results and the excel view?

ok so I don't think you are using the export from the advanced search for issues. please do the following:

  • click on magnifying on blue sidebar
  • click on advanced search issues
  • ensure you are in advanced (JQL) mode
  • enter the filter I provided
  • click on the export (box w/ arrow pointing down) at the top once results are shown
  • choose either current fields or all fields
