HI team,
We got a complaint from the reporters of the issues that they are not able to see description of the closed issues for which the request type has been changed.
Please get this fixed so that they see description of the issues.

You have to look on the view screen of the specific issue type if the description field is there. Most likely, if you change request types and the new request type is a different issue type, they may have different view issue screens. So I'd go and check that first.
In addition you may click on the three dot menu, click "Find my field" and type description. It will tell you what to do.
