Remove/revoke a user's access to a board but keep their interaction history in this board

Hi everyone,

We just recently moved to Trello and we are having our board member leave the company. I have been asked to remove their access to the board while keeping visible all their interactions on that board (card created, comments and such).

I was going to do the "Remove from board" action but it seems it will remove all the interactions mentionned above.

Help?

It does, indeed.  Trello will remove the interactions because it no longer has an account to hang them on.

Jira and the other more powerful trackers use the concept of a "dis-usered" account - it's still there so it can be tracked against, but it cannot be used and doesn't count towards the licencing.

I know there's a feature request for Trello to add this ability, but I'm not sure how much traction it has - it might be one of those that Atlassian are thinking "if you need that power, move to Jira"

I've just tried it with a test user, card membership is wiped cleaned but cards created or comments written by that user are kept
