We may have personal information discussed in requests, or have attachments with personal information. So we do not want that information to be available in the notification. I turned on the two switches in the compliance section, and customer notifications are just what we want. They don't show the comments, and attachments are not included.
But that doesn't change the internal notifications. Those still show comments and a picture of attachments. From what I've read there is no way to change the internal notification email. Is that correct? The solution I have seen is to create an automation and use Send Mail. That allows for customization of the email.
But I thought it would be good to confirm the internal notification can't be changed before trying to figure out the automation.
Thank you for your help.
Hello @Dan Hertzler
As I understand it, you want to disable internal notifications and not customer notifications, right?
If so, you need to create a new notification scheme and not configure notifications in it, then link this new scheme in your project.
See if that helps.
Thanks for your note Raphael. We actually want internal notifications. We just don't want them to have comments or attachments in them. Is there any way to modify the internal notification email template to remove those two items?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Got it, I don't think there's much you can do about the attachment notification, maybe disable the work item edited notification. And to disable comments, you can disable “A comment is edited” and “A comment is deleted”, maybe that will help.

I was able to make automation rules that send email notifications for the various work item actions. That seems to work ok.
Thanks for your comments.
