Hello

Can anyone please advise on where to find the appropriate setting to remove the 'test2' category from our front facing portal?

https://tituslearning.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals

My assumption would be it is in the Jira Service Management Projects page, as that displays the other four categories which are correctly there - Network Rail eLearning, SCSS Service Desk, British Psychological Society, and NR Internal Training Support, but the test2 is not displayed there, so I dont know where to find the setting to remove it from the page.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi @liam.binks , welcome to the community.

So that is not a category, but rather a project. There are two ways to remove that card/project from the portal. You could simply delete the project which I wouldn't necessarily recommend as it is useful for test purposes. The better solution in my opinion is to simply change The visibility on the portal. To do this:

  1. you need to be an appropriate admin to achieve this. At the portal you should see a customize link on the right hand side. Click this and the customization panel will expand.
  2. In the following screen choose edit, homepage, layout.
  3. In the next screen, you will see each of your projects. Simply click on the eyeball for the test project to make it hidden.

Historical note: there used to be no option to hide a project from the portal. I am so incredibly thankful for Atlassian, adding this capability.

Hi @Jack Brickey

That is very helpful, thank you very much.  I will assume I do not have the required permissions, as when clicking the customise link the only option I have is to 'manage announcements' which gives the option to 'Keep your customers updated on important news in the home page' by adding a new message, but at least knowing how to do it means I can ask someone with the correct permissions.  Thanks very much.

Thanks

Liam
