I have set up our Jira Service Desk with the Knowledgebase (Confluence Space).
I'm creating content in the space but do not want to have anonymous users to access the articles and would like them to register and be logged in.
However, the majority of customers will go to the service desk portal and not be logged in and when attempting to search or access pages they will get the page showing a red padlock that says 'No Access. Sorry you're not allowed to see this. Go Back'.
How can I edit this page to provide a much more meaningful message and an obvious link to log in to see the content?
I'm really struggling with this concept of logged in / anonymous on the JSD portal and how difficult it seems to allow this simple functionality.
The categories show for anonymous which tempts them to click on the link and they are then presented with same (very ugly) red padlock.
Am I missing something in my setup? It just seems too simple to be this way?
Thank you.
Hello @Peter Clemence,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
When it comes to the knowledge base permissions, if the space is not open to anonymous access, customers will be redirected to the “No access” page and currently, it’s not possible to change that.
Based on your request, I created a feature request suggesting to improve the message or to redirect customers to the login page:
Please, click on vote and also watch the ticket above to receive updates.
Kind regards,
Angélica
