We have created a Project in Jira which we originally called "Document Flows" we now want to change this to "Service Desk".
I have changed the project name everywhere I can find in the backend and followed all the guides, but for some reason the name does not change on the customer front end. We have another project which I have successfully renamed, but this one for some reason will not change.
Anyone know where I can forcefully change this or if there's a field I might have missed.

Jira support were very helpful and have resolved this.
It was a translation issue. The default project language was set to English(US) and I had my language set to English(UK). There was no translation that had been accepted for the name change so it left it as it was for me.
I updated the language translations that were pending and then just changed the default language.

if the current project is not a Next-gen project then you can do this here project > project settings > details and change the Project Type. if it is of NG type then you will have to bulk move the issue to a new JSD project. Read this

I went to the page you suggested, The only options I get for "project type" are "Service Desk" which is what it was set to or "Business" I changed it to "business" which removed it from the customer front end and then changed it back to SD which meant it re-appeared but still had the incorrect old name.

@ITSupport, sorry i misunderstood what you were trying to do. I thought you were trying to change the project type. To change the name go to project > project settings > portal settings and edit the Name field.

@Jack Brickey thank you but I have tried this. I made this change last week but it still hasn't updated. It appears to have updated in the back end.
As you can see I have also updated the "Introduction Text" but it hasn't changed in the portal.
I'm sure this is bug but is there anyway to force? I would rather not re-create the whole project but it feels at the moment that might be the only way around this.
