Is there any possibility to programmatically login to the customer service portal with a registered customer credential. We want to give our customers the possibility to directly open the service portal from the help menu of our software product without the need to enter the login data.

We know already about the 'login-free' option of Jira Service Desk, but we dont want to generally open the service desk for everyone, so that's no option for us.

Thanks for any hints!

How would you do that from an authentication perspective? You would need to store customer user and password which would be a very bad thing IMO. Further if customers change their password it would break.

We store all the security relevant data encrypted, as we do it for our licensing system. So security should not be an issue.

Our software is running on industrial machines, so we would create for each machine a registered 'machine customer'  with an email address which belongs to us. This 'machine customer' belongs to the customers organization but is administered by us. So there should be no possibility that someone else can change password.
