I have a project in JSM with only 1 request type that is completely proforma with custom fields and a bunch of status/approval throughout the workflow. This request is not managed by any agents so it will only be used on the front end by user. All the approvals in the workflow should appear on the front end/portal view.
Here is the issue im running into. Me as a end user, I fill out the form and submit it. There is an approval button the top. When I click on approve, it gives me an error ("error: we could't submit your request. Please refresh the page, then try again. Note that this will clear your request details. If you already tried again, contact your jira administrator." )
If I refresh, it just goes back to the form and shows my approval but it does not move to the next approval status in the workflow.
I have the workflow and transitions set up correctly. I have no idea what else is missing. I even started the workflow again with only the first 2-3 status and still get same error.
Each status im using a custom user picker field I created. And the transition when approved goes to the next status.
Please ask questions if im missing some info.
Thank you
Hi John,
As the person submitting it, the first step is a draft. I want to be able to go back and edit things before I send it to the next approval step. So auto transition would not allow me to go back and edit.
