Problem with Using same KB in two different Service Desks

I want to use the same confluence space for two different service desks.  One is for general customers, the other is for folks with access to submit bugs/higher level issues.  I can easily link the same KB's to two different knowledgebases, but the CATEGORIES are broken :-(

It was annoying enough to notice that I'd have to categorize the same set of info in two places, but I was willing to do that.  But now that I went through all the trouble of making the categories in the new JSD space, all the category tags in my first JSD are now GONE.  The tags are still there but everything is "Uncategorized"

If I link an article in one JSD to a category and then in the other JSD to a category, it changes the article in the first one to Uncategorized.

This means that I can't have even an index of articles in one of the service desks.  

Is there a way to use the same KB in multiple JSD's and still have any categories work- or at least, show an INDEX of the articles???
