Hello All,
Is it possible to restrict the view of either the portal groups / the request types based on the customer login .
The requirement is like , for the customer 1 --> portal groups 1,2,3 are to be displayed . In the same project , there are portal groups 4 & 5 which are to be displayed for customer 2 login . Is this possible? If JIRA cloud do not support this sort of behavior , Is the below possible?
Its fine if the portal group is commonly seen by customer 1 & customer 2 , but once a portal group is selected , if request type 1 (form1) can only be seen by customer 1 and request 2 (form 2) can be seen by customer 2 . Please suggest if any of these two will be made possible or can be achieved in any other ways than these.
Thank you
The only restrictions possible related to the request types in the portal are linked to the project's permissions. So if all your projects are available to all your customers, and you made all your request types available on the portal, there is no way to restrict access to them. You can create many projects to reflect your need and access but it is not ideal. Like I said you can only do this with restricting access to project, not request types.
Sadly, the way JSM is made has to follow how JIRA core works so it is not possible to create a Service Catalog that regroup logically all the request types in the same group, detached from wich project the request type belongs.
We are facing the same problem with our JSM DC and the only way to "disconnect" the Portal from the way the projects are divided is to acquire one of those addons:
I hope this can help you achieve what you need,
Carmen
