Is it possible that the main ticket can only be closed when all subtasks are closed? Because currently, for example, we can create a change/task with subtasks, but then we can close the main ticket even though the subtasks are still open. To me, that doesn't make much sense.

Hi @Antonia , thanks for your post.

There is a workflow condition for this https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-advanced-issue-workflows/ . You can specify that it's not possible, for example, to close the parent task if it has subtasks which are still open.

Please have a look at the documentation and test with this condition with the parent workflow and let us know if it meets your requirement.

Best wishes
