One JSM User cannot add attachments to tickets. But it works on another PC in incognito mode.

Jeff Kowalke November 20, 2025

User used to be able to add attachments to tickets, now he can't.

If we login as the user on our computer (using InPrivate browsing on Edge) it works.

If the user tries to use InPrivate browsing on his computer it does not work.

So far, this affects only 1 user.

Hi @Jeff Kowalke

Check the laptop, odes it have strange policies on it on on the browser, does the user installed browser add-ons, etc..

It's definitely something on the laptop, not in relation to the user or Jira

Hi @Jeff Kowalke ! Welcome to the community!

A screenshot with the error would be highly beneficial here. Has the user provided this?

Like @Marc -Devoteam- said, it's something related to the client's environment, definitely not related to Jira.

E.g. I've seen firewalls preventing attaching files from a work laptop.

Jeff Kowalke November 21, 2025

It is not a firewall issue.  But it is definitely something external to Jira Service Management.  Still trying to find the smoking gun.
