Hello, we just hired a new team member and our IT team gave the new employee the same email address as someone who is no longer at the company. I removed the older user, but when I attempt to add the new user, the older account is added back to our list of users.
How can I resolve this issue? We are using Jira Service Management Cloud.
Do not give people re-used email addresses, it's insecure, causes problems like the one you hare having now, and is an utter disaster for audit purposes. (It's even illegal in some places, because of the problems it creates)
There is no way around it, you need IT to give them a usable email address.
