Need help in Copying the Field configuration scheme

Hello Team,

We have field called 'Defect Type' which is having list of values and among them 'unknown value' is made as Default value and it's associated with Default field configuration scheme.

when I copied the Default configuration and use it for different project it's not copying the default value as 'unknow'. it will just copy the values.

Do we have any reason why it happens like this or is it Jira default feature?

Can you please elaborate "when I copied the Default configuration".

Is this "custom field" created in Jira or is it a field created within a form?

Have you checked the new custom field's default value in the configuration if you copied it?
